Wireless Broadband (3G/4G)

Some providers operate their own rural wireless broadband networks in different areas across NZ. You can check out what is available at your property by entering your address to our address checker here.

If your house is out of range of the 4G coverage, you can connect to the 3G network, at a reduced speed. It all depends on your signal! There is competitive wireless pricing and plan options. A bonus is the installation is typically straight forward.

Satellite Broadband

Satellite internet is mainly for those who are based in a remote location. It allows you to use the internet like other connections do and with the satellite technology constantly evolving, it is becoming reliable and fast for those customers who need it.

Satellite broadband installation is similar to wireless– you will need a specialist to come and set up your satellite dish.

Copper (DSL) vs Fibre Broadband

Copper is the original internet network in NZ, the copper lines deliver ADSL and VDSL Broadband services.
If copper is your only option for an internet connection at your home, VDSL is the best service to sign up to.

Feel the need for speed? A fibre connection provides customers with a fast, reliable, consistent internet connection. Great for running a household full of streamers, gamers and keeping the business going. You can do more on fibre without slowing your internet connection down! If fibre is available, be sure to check if there would be any costs to connect your house to it.
