Vodafone Broadband has responded to Spark's Netflix partnership by teaming up with NEON to offer customers a 12 month subscription when they sign up to any Unlimited Broadband plan for a 12 or 24 month term.

Spark Broadband has signed a partnership with Netflix as they bid to become a major entertainment provider.  The telco said the exclusive deal would give Spark broadband customers a subscription to the Netflix NZ Standard plan for one year when they sign up to a 24-month Unlimited Data broadband plan.

New Zealand's High Court has ruled in favour of Spark, 2degrees, and InternetNZ, prohibiting Sky TV and Vodafone NZ from putting their merger into effect until more than three days after the regulator's decision.
