Our default results page returns the best internet plans from a wide range of different internet providers in New Zealand. The results are ordered by their Broadband Compare rating. This rating is not a simple search for the cheapest internet in NZ but is instead a unique NZ broadband comparison that takes into account the best internet deals in NZ as well as how those internet providers package up their broadband plans. Once you compare broadband plans and have a breakdown of all the NZ broadband deals from over 70 internet providers we think you are well on the way to finding the best broadband plan for your needs. A gamer in Dunedin will need the fastest internet connection possible and an unlimited broadband data plan. An empty nester looking for broadband in an Auckland apartment will likely require a very different internet connection and broadband plan as they won't use as much data or require as high speeds.
As a simple summary, we would always recommend using the best connection type that is available at your property. If you can get fibre broadband than take it, otherwise choose VDSL and finally if you're on the network and neither VDSL or fibre are available then you should take the ADSL wired connection. There are of course more and more wireless broadband options and satellite broadband options coming available in New Zealand and some offer great rates and plans.
