They provided the better device than the SpaXx did. But the price is much cheaper, reliable. Although I still have to reboot the router/WiFi device, it takes only 3 to 4 months per reboot, rather than before ever single month.

Recently moved into a new flat, and signed up for broadband with Megatel. The connection was sorted on day 1, however we had some difficulty getting our third-party router to connect to the internet.

Called Megatel's helpline to sort it. Hold times were moderate (~15 mins), however once I got through the help I received was very useful, the technician was friendly, and they fairly quickly fixed my issue.

Can't comment on long term reliability, but the setup process was much better than I've experienced with other ISPs. ...read more

While cheap, it's not by a large margin. Support is abysmal and my so-called static IP has changed 4 times since February causing misery for people accessing remote resources. The cheap product isn't worth the absolutely terrible support they provide. Fine when it works, but god help you when there's a problem

I chose Contact as a combined power and broadband provider as there was significant power & broadband savings over my existing suppliers Mercury and Spark. Both existing companies were invited to meet the competition but they declined...
Pros
Both daily line charges and unit power costs were lower than Mercury - the phone and broadband charges were around 25% better than Spark
Cons
The initial setup and communication with Contact could have been smoother.
