Local ISP with lots of backhaul so no slowdowns at peak time.

Pros

Great support team, very fast at all times of the day, low latency for gaming, large wireless coverage area.

Cons

Not the cheapest, but better value since unlimited plans were released. 24month contract required for free install.

Has been reasonably good for 8 years or so with very quick response to callback box, but since Vodafone took over, no response at all. Used to be great =, now not so sure.

Pros

Good speed on copper here in Orewa.

Cons

Not the ISP's fault but the UFB cable stopped for now halfway up the street - from the wrong end. :-(

Well, Skinny is, probably, the cheapest wireless provider in New Zealand. If your place is situated in an area with good 4G coverage, you can, definitely, give it a try.

Pros

Speed is better than ADSL.
Place independent.
No contact.
Good Huawei modem.
Excellent price.
Big amount of traffic (100GB).

Cons

It is wireless, therefore, not really stable.
Speed is good only in the areas with strong 4G signal.
Fibre is still better.
