Having Primowireless has honesty changed our families lives, after living with overpriced satellite broadband thinking that was our only option we were ecstatic when we were able to install our own receiver, because of Primowireless' mission to get the country folk connected with realistic data packages
Pros
Friendly local staff on the end of the email or phone.
Primowireless supports their community that support them.
Unlimited internet after midnight, which is fantastic for device updates (phones, tablets & xbox)
Affordable overage packages.
Cons
Data Caps, yes we could go unlimited but it is not affordable, and our kids need to know limits of data using.

Been with them for years. Fairly internet savvy so been able to sort most connection or internet problems myself. On rare occasions I have called they were helpful. Earlier wait times were longer than I'd like but all good otherwise now.
Pros
Getting speeds up & down in excess of plan I pay for. Given upgrade last year for free on downloads from 30mps to 50 & improved speed getting close to that many days.
Found that I've been able to negotiate a deal when I need to change/upgrade. Last time was in March '17 & I was offered a replacement router for free - my system improved vastly (sweet!) ...read more

Been with Slingshot for a number of years - haven't had too many blips & am happy overall. Recently noticed that the prices for our current plan had come down on the website but we were still paying a higher amount. Gave customer service a call and they sorted that out straight away, and threw in 3 months of credit since they had been overcharging us $10 a month for 9 months. Now this is only fair, if not going slightly above & beyond, but considering some other companies I've had to deal with don't give a toss about current customers, I'd say it's pretty good. ...read more

We live in a valley near town with no fibre or ADSL available .We have been rejected by Vodaphone, Spark and Farmside as "outside RBI coverage".
Netspeed and their local Manawatu agents deserve kudos as the only company who tried to get us coverage on the RBI and succeeded.
Pros
Offered test with no charge if they could not supply reliable connection to RBI
NetSpeed offering cost and provision similar to wireless nation.
Pretty helpful service
Cons
Small company, sometimes don't have staff to deal with widespread problem individually.
Set up not cheap as had to pay for their selected and supplied modem

Been with Slingshot now since 2010 Phone and Internet Cost $90.00 and Toll call extra now I pay $90.00/month with Phone 100GB Internet free National Calling and International Calling Caller ID and other services. where as with Telecom before I was paying $115.00 for phone and Internet.

Have been with Actrix (now subsumed by Voyager) for 17 years. The quality of service desk support is amazing - very technically able, with great problem solving ability. I just wish folk would see beyond familiar brands and price to an organization that will really help if something goes wrong.

I feel like Slingshot are focused on income not customers

We're still on ADSL; it's surprisingly fast: download 16Mbps
Cons
Slingshot increased our monthly charge a month after we began our contract in 2015. They then overcharged us for the next six months. Our landline lost connection for two months. They charged us for insurance when we didn't want it, and they insisted we'd stared a new contract after they'd failed to upgrade us to VDSL leaving us on the same ADSL plan ...read more
