Some of the other providers that Spark owns, are much better than Spark, e.g. NOW.
Pros
None.
Cons
(1) Have network connection card issues at many exchanges and are very reluctant to reset those cards when requested. Resetting usually fixes the go-slow problem.
(2) Have dreadful customer service and Call Centre response times.
(3) First level support people generally know nothing and escalation takes another 15 minutes hanging on the line.

Skinny 4G pay as you go $40 per month.
Router sits on the window sill and gives much better speeds than ADSL 2+
Huwai B315s-607 router is basic but has 4 ethernet ports and wireless n (not AC)
Upload speed is crazy faster than download speed.
Pros
Can move the router to different places - ie not tethered to phone jacks
Less messy cables and filters if running just wifi - just the power cord
Speed and consistancy of speed can stream 720p without buffering

Cons
-Need good reception - however most urban areas will be ok
-CG NAT which means you have no static IP address and DDNS will not work. Ie you cant host anything like a web page etc without a VPN to an internet server.
-Speed variable - however never drops too low ...read more

They advertised 100 Mbps speed, but to date the highest speed I have seen is 25 Mbps with the average speed of 12.96 Mbps. They do not have any techs nor software to run diagnostics and rely on the customer to spend time running the tests for them. I have complained numerous times to them, but they are unable and unwilling to fix my problem.
Pros
Unlimited data
Cons
No Network Operations Center. They are unable to troubleshoot any problems.

Signed up to get fibre installed through them and noticed no difference to our internet speed. Had lots of issues with internet not working properly.
Pros
Cons
They were reasonably organised about getting it installed for us promptly.

I haven't started using it yet, but the offer (feature and value) looked most attracted as compared to rest of the services. It will be installed on 30th Nov so I'll be able to tell about speed and reliability afterwards. Support seems fine for now.
Pros
Low price
Good value for money
Cons
No Fibre available in area yet

worst customer experience of my life.
Pros
the price, and the customer service agents were really good - but considering how the facebook comments page has been disabled i imagine they are very practiced in "damage control"
Cons
- it took 5 months to get fibre installed, multiple days of no shows regarding install, and on top of that when i complained they told me "it not our fault its chorus' fault, if you have a problem complain to them" and then wouldn't even apologize or offer any compensation at all.

Im not saying dont sign with them - what i am saying is there "estimated install time" is a joke and they dont even care about customers at all

Inflexible plans. Rather than offering less features at economic rates, Spark offers more and more 'features' at a higher monthly cost. Ultimately they loose out to providers offering more value with better selection options for the services they provide.

I loved Snap, and was disappointed when I was "sold" to 2 degrees. I made the mistake of changing plans at that time, which meant my old landline phones with voice mail incorporated no longer worked. It also committed me to a fixed term contract to pay off the new "free" modem, which provided no advantages over the old one . The switch was a hassle, and I loath the wait times to get to talk to someone. I have never rung them without being told that "we are experiencing a higher load of calls tahn normal....." Yeah right. ...read more
Pros
Reasonably reliable
Cons
Wait times to talk to anyone

Service is pathethic
There are not clear realistic timeframes.
They talk about fibre but it takes ages for them to action the request and follow up with Chorus. But again, ths wont guarantee connection.
All the support team does is sympathies rather than solving the problem or expediting it to ease things for u.
