Upgraded to Fibre as part of a home bundle which includes landline & 4 x cellphones; the modem for the fibre supplied by Spark is weaker - signal does not caste widely around the dwelling like previous modem and speed not appreciably different from before upgrade. However overall price for the bundle seems fair.

Really good, no issues at all. Only leaving because I can get a better deal elsewhere.

$10 a month off if you have a 2degrees phone.
Reliable.

None really apart from feeling that I could get a better deal elsewhere (then confirming that I could!).

The best feature for me is that the helpline is located in NZ and has always proved to be quick to answer; actually answers your questions; solves the issues if they are able to or will direct you to where you need to go.
ALSO they follow up at a later date to see if the problem they were not able to solve has been satisfactorily fixed.
Pros
NZ company which to date (at both work and home) appears to have customer service as a high priority.
Cons
Doesn’t have any Wellington based hotspots for WiFi as yet.

Worst network ever. Since I have signed up with 2 degrees I have changed the modem many times. They don’t have other options if u your wifi and calls are not working. I regret shifting from spark. Spark gives u data and all your calls are transferred to your mobile so that customers are always provided with the service because we pay full bills. 2 degrees will still charge you though ur broadband is working or not. Totally not happy

Looks like they send old moderms that’s y we always have a problem

Customer service is useless. They can see in their system that internet is not working but wausting our time on laptop and trying to change wires and jackpoints.

Had signed a 2 years contract from Jan 2017 and had never been happy with the spend and reliability of their service. Been talking to the technical helpdesk and did not resolve issue at all. All they did was to ask me to change different channel and try it for 30 mins and still not reliable at all. Also, they have increased the price of my plan from $84.95 to $87.25, due to telecommunication levy, but $84.95 is still being offered to all new customers! They are good at getting new customers, but doing a shit job keeping existing customers happy. ...read more

After trying for so many months (22 months into the contract), I contacted the retention team and they initially offered me to upgrade my plan to the Giga plan so that they can offer me to get the modem at $99. After I talked to another retention staff, she managed to send me a better modem and it worked like a charm. This make me more upset as I was paying for unreliable internet for the past 22 months, due to a poor performing modem that they had supplied me. I have decided to cancel my contract and switch to a different provider, who is happy to provide me with the same modem (the better one) at no cost and I do not even have to upgrade my plan. We have been using 2 degrees from last 5 years for mobile network and broadband. But now when we have shifted to a new house and due to some reason we changed to a different broadband provider, 2 degrees is overcharging us. We rang 2 degrees for their help when we couldnt connect to the internet for our remaining plan days, they sent their technician and problem was found in their modem. After a few days they told us that we had to pay $115 as the technician fee. They did not even care about our loyalty towards them for so many years. Internet keeps cutting on an off over the last year. Got worse over the last month, to the point it cut off altogether after bad weather. Slingshot support kept booking Chorus techs on days i told them i would be at work. Finally Chorus guy arrived an told us nothing wrong with our lines, but Slingshot modem is stuffed. Some of the support is excellent, but others are crap.

Yeah right, flamin useless.
Cons
Kept on getting the run around to get them to book a Chorus Tech to come out on a day i would be at home. Had to wait 5 days to get the internet back on.

Am already with Slingshot (about 2 years) after getting away from Clear.net (vodafone) and have been reasonably satisfied. We have had Fibre (Enable) installed up our Lane ( 12 residences) just last week and making contact to check packages/options now that fibre is available. Have not been able to talk with anyone at Slingshot about options, so have made enquiries here.
